Volunteer Drivers Are Needed Deliver Meals on Wheels Lunches or help by driving seniors to medical appointments. Contact Alasa at 845-7471 for details.

Club 108 Club 108 at the Verona Senior Center. Club 108 is a program for individuals with early memory loss. The program meets on Wednesdays and Fridays from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM. There is no cost for the Club, but lunch is included during the program for $5. If you are interested in enrolling or have questions, please contact our case manager, Becky Losby, at 845-7471.

Monthly Support Groups The Verona Senior Center offers a support group for persons living with or caring for family members with Parkinson's Disease; Caregiver Support Group; Low Vision Support Group; and a Healthy Living Discussion Group. Strawberry Cart Fundraiser at Hometown Days, on June 3. Raising funds for "Classical Conversations Intergenerational Program" (See Chronicle for details.) Call Alasa to volunteer to help.

The Friends of the Verona Senior Center is seeking to add one or more members to its Board of Directors. The Friends serve the Verona Senior Center in many ways. Nominate yourself or suggest someone you think would be a great Board member. If you want more information on the VAAA and the responsibilities of Board members, talk with one of the current Board members. Submit nominations to the VAAA president, Louis Eifert, at the Senior Center.

Volunteer Opportunities The VAAA and the Senior Center depend heavily on volunteers. The VAAA needs help in organizing and managing events. The Senior Center needs volunteers to help with all of its programs. Volunteering is fun and rewarding, as well as being essential to the Center. Check with a staff member or a VAAA Board member for volunteer opportunities
