Q and A Session with Director Mary Hanson Mary will answer your questions and listen to your suggestions and concerns Thursday, July 2 at 11 am

Ice Cream Socials are Back! Every Friday at 1 pm. Then enjoy the movie starting at 1:30. Or just the movie, or just the ice cream!

Play Bocce Tuesdays at 10 am.

Walking Group: Mondays and Wednesdays at 10:30 Walk along the bike trail for about an hour

New Class: Line Dancing Thursdays at 3:30;

Thursday Game Night 6:00 Every Thursday is game night : Euchre? Sheepshead? Cribbage? Board Games? Bring a friend and stop in and play. On the first Thursday of the month it is Game Night and Pizza at 5:30 See Chronicle for more details.

Mexican Train Dominoes Play every Wednesday at 1 pm. Beginners welcome.

Morning Coffee Hour Come for coffee and treats at 9:00 am every weekday morning at the Senior Center.

Club 108 We are excited to announce the opening of Club 108 at the Verona Senior Center. Club 108 is a program for individuals with early memory loss. The program meets on Wednesdays and Fridays from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM. There is no cost for the Club, but lunch is included during the program for $5. We currently have openings for this program. If you are interested in enrolling or have questions, please contact our case manager, Becky Losby, at 845-7471.

We Need More Driver Escorts RSVP and the Senior Center provide transportation to medical appointments. If you are interested in becoming a driver escort, call Jennifer.

Monthly Support Groups The Verona Senior Center offers a support group for persons living with or caring for family members with Parkinson's Disease ; Caregiver Support Group for persons caring for a family member or friend; and a Healthy Living Discussion Group . No registration required and drop in’s are welcomed. Contact Becky Losby (845-7471 for details. Check the Chronicle or the complete monthly calendar on the website for dates and times.

Pie Social - Monday, July 20 Come and enjoy a meal with pie and frozen custard. And, if you are able bake and donate pie (or even a couple of pies)! Volunteer to help at this community event

Volunteer Opportunities The VAAA and the Senior Center depend heavily on volunteers. The VAAA needs help in organizing and managing events. The Senior Center needs volunteers to help with all of its programs. Volunteering is fun and rewarding, as well as being essential to the Center. Check with a staff member or a VAAA Board member for volunteer opportunities
