Senior Center is now open on Sunday afternoons from 12:30-5:00 Need something to do on a Sunday afternoon. Come to the Senior Center and play games, read a book, watch a movie, and socialize with others.

Thursday Game Night (with Pizza on the first Thursday) Call the Center (845-7471) and let them know how many slices you want. $2 per slice.

Mexican Train Dominoes Play every Wednesday at 1:30 pm. Beginners welcome.

Morning Coffee Hour Come for coffee and treats at 9:00 am every weekday morning at the Senior Center.

NEW -VISITING SHUTTLE Monthly opportunity to take the shuttle to visit friends at local senior apartments, assisted living and skilled nursing facilities. Call the Center for more information.

Club 108 Club 108 at the Verona Senior Center. Club 108 is a program for individuals with early memory loss. The program meets on Wednesdays and Fridays from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM. There is no cost for the Club, but lunch is included during the program for $5. If you are interested in enrolling or have questions, please contact our case manager, Becky Losby, at 845-7471.

We Need More Driver Escorts RSVP and the Senior Center provide transportation to medical appointments. If you are interested in becoming a driver escort, call Jennifer.

Monthly Support Groups The Verona Senior Center offers a support group for persons living with or caring for family members with Parkinson's Disease; Caregiver Support Group; Low Vision Support Group; and a Healthy Living Discussion Group. Volunteer Opportunities The VAAA and the Senior Center depend heavily on volunteers. The VAAA needs help in organizing and managing events. The Senior Center needs volunteers to help with all of its programs. Volunteering is fun and rewarding, as well as being essential to the Center. Check with a staff member or a VAAA Board member for volunteer opportunities
