Help Wanted We are looking for volunteers to help at our reception desk. Current openings are Wednesday morning 8:30-10:00 ; Thursdays 8:30-10:00. We will train. Other volunteer opportunities also available. Check with Jennifer 845-7471.

Jennifer Miller is our New Program Manager She has great ideas for new activities, but she is eager to hear your suggestions for the months ahead.

Morning Coffee Hour Come for coffee and treats at 9:00 am every weekday morning at the Senior Center.

Severe Winter Weather Closing Policy The Senior Center will be closed and all activities cancelled on days that the Verona Area Public Schools are closed due to bad weather. When in doubt, call..

Monthly Support Groups The Verona Senior Center offers a support group for persons living with or caring for family members with Parkinson's Disease ; Caregiver Support Group for persons caring for a family member or friend; and a Diabetes Discussion Group . No registration required and drop in’s are welcomed. Contact Becky Losby (845-7471 for details. Check the Chronicle or the complete monthly calendar on the website for dates and times.

Extended Travel Opportunities The Fitchburg Senior Center is offering travel to Ireland, the Sourthern US, and the National Parks of the Southwest. Click on "Extended Travel" in the "What's New" tab for details.

Volunteer Opportunities The VAAA and the Senior Center depend heavily on volunteers. The VAAA needs help in organizing and managing events. The Senior Center needs volunteers to help with all of its programs. Volunteering is fun and rewarding, as well as being essential to the Center. Check with a staff member or a VAAA Board member for volunteer opportunities
