What’s New

Jennifer Miller is our New Program Manager She has great ideas for new activities, but she is eager to hear your suggestions for the months ahead.

Morning Coffee Hour Come for coffee and treats at 9:00 am every weekday morning at the Senior Center.

Thursday Game Night 6:30 Euchre? Sheepshead? Cribbage? Board Games? Bring a friend and stop in and play. See Chronicle for more details.

Walking Group Jennifer, our Program Manager, will lead a walking group on Monday and Wednesdays mornings at 10:00 AM. We will be walking down the bike trail. Please wear good walking shoes and dress in layers as weather can be unpredictable this time of year! We’ll keep track of how far we walk each day. Let’s see if we can walk the distance of Verona to Milwaukee before the snow flies!

Monthly Support Groups
The Verona Senior Center offers a support group for persons living with or caring for family members with Parkinson's Disease ; Caregiver Support Group for persons caring for a family member or friend; and a Diabetes Discussion Group . No registration required and drop in’s are welcomed. Contact Becky Losby (845-7471 for details. Check the Chronicle or the complete monthly calendar on the website for dates and times.

Birthday/Anniversary Celebration on Friday, October 17 Celebrate October birthdays and anniversaries - lunch and entertainment by Al Anderson playing Sinatra songs on the trumpet

Halloween Parry and Volunteer Recognition On Friday, October 31 (Halloween!) Come in costume for lots of fun!

Bingo We play bingo several times each month. See "Event Calendar" or the Chronicle for more details.

Volunteer Opportunities The VAAA and the Senior Center depend heavily on volunteers. The VAAA needs help in organizing and managing events. The Senior Center needs volunteers to help with all of its programs. Volunteering is fun and rewarding, as well as being essential to the Center. Check with a staff member or a VAAA Board member for volunteer opportunities
