We are trying to establish two music days every month in the upcoming 2019 event calendar. Although we know this will be a wonderful addition, it will take additional money to achieve.

There are monies from memorials which have been designated to music, however, we need a bit more. If you would like to see our Senior Center provide two music days per month, we ask you to consider donating to the Friends of Verona Senior Center.

You can pick up a form at the front desk and one of our volunteers will assist you. Thank you for any assistance you can give us.

Do you like to paint or use colored pencils?

We have a gentlemen that would like to paint small wooden boxes with you!
These will be painted with pictures of butterflies, owls, or flowers.
You choose the design!
We have an example at the front desk if you would like to see what this is all about!
If you are interested in this please call Alasa Wiest at 845-7471.

Meet Former Wisconsin Gov. Martin Schreiber,

Author of “My Two Elaines”
Wednesday, October 24 at 12:30 PM

Former Wisconsin Gov. Martin J. Schreiber
continues the most important campaign of his life talking about the challenges of being an Alzheimer’s caregiver. Schreiber will share what he has learned, which is included in his award-winning book, My Two Elaines: Learning, Coping, and Surviving as an Alzheimer’s Caregiver, so others don’t have to experience the learning curve he did. This free presentation will include time for questions and suggestions from other caregivers.

My Two Elaines is a guide for Alzheimer’s families and caregivers as well as a love story that spans more than 60 years. Schreiber’s wife Elaine was officially diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease 11 years ago and since then, he has worked tirelessly to be a caregiver and loving spouse to someone who no longer recognizes him.
