Caregivers Support Group

  • 1st Tuesdays at 10:00 AM – 11:45 AM &
  • 3rd Tuesdays at 10:00 AM – 11:45 AM

All caregivers or former caregivers are welcome! No RSVP required.
The Verona Caregiver support group is a fantastic group of people that support each other in all stages of caregiving and meets on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month at 10:00. Club 108 is available as respite for your loved one while you attend if needed.

Also, if you know a caregiver and have some time to spare, ask them if they need a break. Provide an afternoon of respite. Wash the windows. Anything you can do to help the caregiver will be appreciated more than you’ll know. Many caregivers won’t ask for the help, so by reaching out to them would be so, so helpful.

Club 108 is an activity program for individuals with early memory loss.

Club 108 at the Verona Senior Center. Club 108 is a program for individuals with early memory loss. The program meets on Wednesdays and Fridays from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM. There is no cost for the Club, but lunch is included during the program for $5. If you are interested in enrolling or have questions, please contact our case manager, Becky Losby, at 845-7471.


Weight Watchers

Tuesdays Weigh-ins at 5 PM, meetings at 5:30 PM


AA Meetings

Thursdays at 1:00 PM

AA Meeting is an open meeting for friends and relatives of alcoholics. Anyone is welcome to attend. All meetings are confidential.

Parkinson’s Group

3rd Thursday at 10:00 AM

September: Laurie Couillard, Director of Group Engagement from the WPA, will address the basics of Parkinson’s, as well as new exercise programs, such as Rock Steady Boxing, PD Dance, etc. Please come.

Veterans Group

2nd Thursday, at 3:00 PM

The Verona Veterans Group meet’s on the 2nd Thursday of the month at 3:00 at the Verona Senior Center. This group is also active outside of our meeting time with different events such as an annual picnic at Sugar Ridge Airport, an annual pontoon ride and lunch on Lake Wisconsin, various tours of places such as the Dane County 911 center, the Madison Veteran’s Museum, the EAA, New Glarus Brewery and more!

RSVP Verona Hometown Helpers

1st Tuesday at 9:30 AM

Welcoming New Members!!!

Come share your knitting/crocheting/sewing talents with RSVP volunteers who gather monthly at the Verona Senior Center to make items for donation to Dane County nonprofits!  They socialize and share creative ideas while creating handcrafted items (i.e. hats, scarves, shawls, totes, afghans, quilts, etc.) to help keep our community warm, comforted and safe.  This is a great way for people to use their skills to help people in need in our community! Supplies and patterns are provided.

Healthy Lifestyles

September:  We will have Sara Hannemann, the coordinator for the SAFE at home program at SSM Health at Home. She will address the home environment, risk of falling, and how that affects independence.

Triad is a national program that promotes safety and crime prevention for seniors.

Locally, RSVP partners with the Dane County Sheriff’s Department, local police departments, senior agencies, and others in the community to bring vital health and safety information to Dane County seniors.

The Verona Senior Center offers:

  • Monthly – Triad presentation on a different topic each month
  • Yearly  – Vehicle winterization clinic along with Hometown Auto.

We are always looking for people to serve on our Triad committee.
